How to use the AFT calculator
- Enter your age. The calculator picks your age group from the official tables.
- Choose the general standard, or the combat standard if you serve in a combat specialty. Pick your sex for the general standard.
- Enter your deadlift weight, push-up reps, and your sprint-drag-carry, plank and run times as minutes and seconds (for example 1:58).
- If you have a permanent profile, pick your alternate aerobic event in place of the run and enter your time.
- Read your points per event, your total and whether you pass. Under each event you'll see what you need for 60 and 100 points.
How the AFT is scored
Each of the five events is scored from 0 to 100 points using tables published by the U.S. Army, so the best possible total is 500. The tables are split into ten age groups, from 17-21 to Over 62, and two columns: one for male Soldiers and the combat standard (labeled M|C) and one for female Soldiers.
- General standard: scored by sex and age. You pass with at least 60 points in every event.
- Combat standard: scored by age only, on the M|C column. You need at least 60 points in every event and at least 350 in total (Army Directive 2025-06).
The combat standard applies to these specialties: 11A, 11B, 11C, 11Z, 12A, 12B, 12D, 13A, 13F, 18A, 180A, 18B, 18C, 18D, 18E, 18F, 18Z, 19A, 19C, 19D, 19K, 19Z, 89D and 89E. Army Directive 2026-07 added 12D, 89D and 89E to the original list in Army Directive 2025-06.
Where the numbers come from
The calculator uses the official AFT score tables from army.mil, approvedMay 15, 2025 and effective June 1, 2025. A script downloads the PDF, reads every row and checks that each table is complete and consistent, so the numbers here match the PDF exactly.
- For each event, you get the points for the best listed result you meet or beat. A result below the 0-point row scores 0.
- The deadlift and push-up tables list every point from 100 down to 60, then only 50, 40, 30, 20, 10 and 0.
- The tables label the oldest group "Over 62"; the calculator uses it for age 62 and up.
- This is not an official Army tool. Your unit's scorecard is the record.
