Ideas for using a spinning wheel

Every entry has the same chance

With 6 entries each has a 1 in 6 chance (16.7%); with 20 entries, 1 in 20 (5%). If you want an option to be more likely, add it twice. The winner is picked with secure randomness, so where the wheel last stopped never affects the next spin.

Frequently asked questions

How do I add names to the wheel?

Type or paste them into the box, one per line. The wheel updates as you type. You can paste a column straight from a spreadsheet.

Can I remove the winner after each spin?

Yes. Tick "Remove the winner after each spin" to pick names one by one without repeats, for example to set a speaking order or draw several prizes.

How many entries can the wheel hold?

There is no fixed limit. Labels get smaller as you add entries and long names are shortened on the wheel, but every entry keeps an equal chance.

Is the wheel spinner fair?

Every entry gets an equal slice, and the winner is chosen with your browser's cryptographic random number generator before the animation starts.

Are my names saved or uploaded?

No. Everything runs in your browser and nothing is sent to a server.
